Vicious by Lindsey R. Loucks

Today, I have Lindsey R. Loucks over.
She's sharing book two.
If you haven't read book 1,
you might want to start there.
Book 1 (Links further down)

And now today's main feature:

Vicious Blurb

Absidy Jones, a fugitive ghost magnet on the run for two murders she didn't commit, desperately needs to warn the human race. The Saelis aliens are coming to finish a two-hundred-year-old war and decimate the rest of humanity.

No small feat for Absidy, especially since she and her spaceship’s crew are stuck in deep space.

Pasts collide on the once-haunted ship she now calls home, leaving the crew stranded with no outside communication. Murder, secrets, and betrayal lurk around every corner, more vicious than anyone thought possible.

Startling discoveries force Absidy to risk the lives of those she loves to save all humans, even as her special ghostly gift seems to be…evolving.

Excerpt

Forcing myself to breathe easy, I went in search of Randolph at the fruit tent. The crowd swept me along, but it was so packed that the throng jostled each other for a pocket of air. I ran into several creatures and people, not by choice, and finally smashed straight into a wall. A wall made of bricks and a black trench coat. An odd choice of clothing for a wall.

My lungs pinched together when I glanced up into a glassy pair of dark blue eyes, the centers of which appeared cracked like plastic. White starbursts webbed through the blue irises and seemed to darken the pupils into black holes. The strange eyes belonged to a giant of a man with a bald head and alabaster skin. The four men at his sides wore guns within easy reach, and white energy sizzled across their eyes in erratic pulses. One of them thrust a tablet at me. A color photo of Mase stared back.

I blanked my face while my thoughts rioted. Feozva’s hell, we had to get out of here.

“You need to tell me if you’ve seen him around here,” the man with the cracked eyes growled, but his voice didn’t sound human. The words scraped out of him like gears grinding over petrified bones.

My mouth pinched tight automatically at his order, and he seemed to zero in on it as if waiting for a lie to spill out. Or reading my body language to see if my actions matched my answer. I had a strange feeling he didn’t miss much. But I’d acted my way aboard the Vicious somewhat well, enough to convince a distracted crew I was a fourteen-year-old boy. I could get us out of this too.

I steeled my spine, examined the picture of the face I knew so well, then flicked my gaze up to meet his. “Never seen him.”

He gazed at me for several more heartbeats as if telepathically splitting open my skull to peer inside. Then he shoved past me with a hand as pale as his face.
Randolph stepped in as if from out of nowhere, his face unnaturally calm, and pointed at Mase’s picture. “Mind if I see that?” Without permission, he plucked the tablet with the picture away from the other man’s hands. “Oh, yeah, I’ve seen him.”

I ticked my gaze to Randolph and willed him to shut the fuck up. What the hell was he doing?
“He was standing over by the river bean stand about five minutes ago.” Randolph pointed vaguely behind him. “I noticed him because he needs a haircut. Bad. Said he was going to stock up on milk after he was done because he drank all of it. If you hurry, you can probably catch up to him.”

Somehow, he kept the venom out of his voice even though the ambiguous accusation was still there, even though now was not the time.

“Find him,” the cracked, pale man who had to be Parker said to his cronies.

The four of them swept past the fruit tent while Parker loomed over me as if he could hear all my truths behind my thrashing heartbeat.

“Until we meet again,” he said, his voice like a grinded threat.

“We’ll look forward to it,” Randolph said.

Rusted balls. I nudged my foot forward and stepped on the back of Randolph’s heel.

He cleared his throat. “What I meant to say was good luck rounding that fellow up. I’m sure he deserves it.”

Parker eyed us both before stomping off.

“We’ll look forward to it?” I hissed.

Liza's 2018 Sci-Fi and Paranormal plans

Liza shares the Sci-Fi & Paranormal planned for 2018.

First I'll share the books that took YEARS to complete.
The reason why I had to wait so long was that before I could send the last humans to Titan, I needed better information about Titan.
And finally, thanks to Cassini, we've got that.
There are still many unanswered questions, but we've enough to make credible educated guesses.

Destination: Titan
With Earth destined for a new ice-age, seven scientists and twenty-two overly brilliant teenagers are gathered in a compound deep within a mountain. There they struggle to come together as a group and complete the projects needed for their survival in the inhospitable environment of Titan, one of Saturn’s moons. However, certain factions on Earth have no intention of letting Project Einstein succeed. Keeping the group alive and productive is the hardest task Colonel Lancaster and his soldiers have ever had, but they are determined to succeed no matter how well the saboteurs have planned. The continuation of the human race depends upon it.

Arrival: Titan

The dangers continue even as they quantum leap to space nearby Titan. Captain Drake had his own agenda, and it doesn’t include Colonel Lancaster, or the children being alive for much longer. Fortunately, the scientists and children are a formidable group to go against. The attempted takeover is stopped with only one death. When Scarlett lands the ship on the north pole near the methane lake, they discover several sentient life forms. In short time, they learn there’s a ship called the Death Star mining minerals on the outer rings of Saturn and even more shocking—that Jupiter is NOT a planet, but an ‘eye in the sky’ watching over the mining interests of a superior sentient planet.

Song Bird
Sci-Fi Romance

Five hundred years from now, the necessity of population control and a preference for male children has resulted in a shortage of women. Down from the Appalachian Mountains, comes Tory White: an unusually tall and muscular young woman who is deceived into signing a lifelong contract as a concubine. Entirely unsuitable for the position, she soon finds herself slotted for the ‘beds,’ where few live beyond a month. Yet, her honest and forthright manner charms the head of security into saving her and sets her upon a path in which she becomes the ‘heart’ of the world and the savior of man’s future.

Cat Refuge
Sci-fi Romance/Paranormal Smashup

Jason Conners, the head of the FBI, becomes involved in a simple immigration case which a doctor from Africa has married an American woman so he can enter the United States. Some claim the doctor is not human, but rather cat-like alien species that can mimic the human form. Determined to discover the truth, he sends his brightest agent, Carmella Jones, to Africa to uncover the truth. Courageously, she travels deep into the jungle to learn the truth from the first of this species who originally landed on Earth two hundred years prior. Her determination to find the truth alters the future of Earth forever.

2 Titles & Covers are competing

 for this Paranormal Romance.

Alice is a ghostwalker, an ordinary person capable of separating her soul from her body. Unlike her fellow ghostwalkers, she uses her ability trying to protect the world from terrorists and madmen. Finding an FBI agent she trusts, she supplies the information needed to stop several atrocities from occurring.

She believes she is safe from discovery. However, agent Jack Callaghan finds her with clever sleuthing and romances her with pure intent. Unfortunately, their unexpected union brings wrath down upon them from all sides. Her fellow ghostwalkers believe she has betrayed their code of secrecy; the director and fellow agents question Jack’s commitment to the agency and want Alice brought in so they can discover how she disappears at will. In this maelstrom of betrayals, Alice uncovers the truth about the three men who claim to love her and discovers which one holds true.

AR DeClerck plans for more Steam Punk!

To The Mechanical Heart of the Matter

Hello, dearest readers! I’m so happy to be able to speak with you again on Liza’s blog. She’s such a wonderful friend to invite me back to chat again. Today I wanted to talk about my personal journey as a writer and where I’m headed in the (very) near future.

As many of you might know, I consider myself an author of “Adventure Romance”. This means you might find the AR DeClerck name on a Science Fiction Romance, a Fantasy Romance, or even the odd Contemporary Romance novel. All of these books are written in different genres but they all fall under the umbrella term of “Adventure Romance”.

Over the last few months, I’ve been on a journey of self-discovery with my writing. I told the podcast ladies last night that I’m still in the “pimply teenage finding myself” phase of writing. I was stretching my writer wings and trying on all the different hats, hoping to find the one that fit me best. I’d like to take this moment to share with you what I’ve decided.

After the Mythical Madness series is wrapped up with ShadowBound (book 3), I will be moving on to write more steampunk novels in the same world as The Alchemist’s Kiss and Enchanter’s Embrace. As a matter of fact, aside from the Takamo Universe Cyborg Series, I plan to focus all my time and attention on writing in the punk genres! This is extremely exciting for me because I still have a love of SFR and Fantasy, but punk is the genre that excites me the most.

So what’s up next? Actually, I have 3 novels and a novella planned in this steampunk universe. Archie and Lucia are in Egypt, and so the next book is The Pharaoh’s Heart. Following that will be Corrigan’s adventures as he chases his Romanian bride in The Gypsy’s Revenge. Lucan will find his own adventure in The Grand Master’s Curse. And last but not least, for the lovers of the raven familiar Machiavelli, he will be getting his own story in Black Raven Night, a novella! Doesn’t this sound like fun? I know I’m excited to begin writing the journeys for all these amazing characters.

Dearest readers, I implore you to stay with me. There will inevitably be more SFR later on (I still love my far-flung galaxies and sexy space men!). But also stay tuned, as there is plenty to love about what’s coming up. I wouldn’t be surprised if you get steampunk, dieselpunk (1940s) and Decopunk (1920s) in the coming months. If you haven’t signed up for my newsletter, please do. I have a Decopunk Mystery Serial that is exclusive to newsletter subscribers. Death & Decopage: A Franny Calico Mystery is set in 1937 Prudence, Illinois and it’s a joy to write. Please look down below for all my links if you’re interested.

Thanks again to Liza for allowing me to come on her blog and share my plans with you. Please don’t hesitate to stop by my Facebook page, my fan group The Fabulous Fanpage for AR DeClerck, or find me on Twitter. I also have huge Pinterest boards filled with inspiration and fashion for the decades mentioned above. Look me up and tell me what you think about my decision to go PUNK!
As always, dearest readers, HAPPY READING!

Commander's Mate by Clarissa Lake

Commander's Mate: Farseek Mercenary Series Book 1, the first in my new steamy alien romance series. These proud Uatu Warriors from the Farseek colony were not always mercenaries. They formerly served the Trans-Stellar Consortium sworn, to Farseek received from the Consortium. Every world in the Consortium supplied warriors for the common defense, but every world didn’t suffer the fate of Farseek.

While they were fighting the Consortium's war against the Sargus Empire far from their home world, the Sargus Empire attacked Farseek, leaving mass destruction in its wake. Only about a dozen survivors remained the tell what happened---a dozen of over a million. Those who weren't killed were taken to become slaves of the Empire. As the story opens, Commander General Zared Maktu has found the piles of wreckage that is all that's left of his family's neighborhood.

Nothing the Consortium has to offer can compensate what was lost. Time for the company of Farseek Dreadnought One to make a new plan. They must find those who were taken alive and bring them home. After terminating their contract with the Consortium, they take a job to rescue a governor's daughter stolen to be sold into slavery.

Commander Maktu doesn't just rescue the Governor's daughter and her companion. He and his company take all of the 100 abductees from the auction house. Only two are from Farseek, but there are four unusual females from a planet called Earth---and one of them is his fated mate Harper Avery. Things heat up from there. Look for it soon on my Amazon Page.

Below is an excerpt from Commander’s Mate:

ZARED
We won the war but lost everything we ever loved. We stood fast for the Consortium. Some of us even laid down our lives for them while they left our home world undefended. As I stand looking at the ruins of what was my family’s home, I scream in rage, but there is no one to hear my pain and utter disgust.

Farseek Brigade should have been here defending our homes and families instead of light years away defending the Consortium stronghold. Those with the most power and wealth still have all they hold dear, while we have nothing left to fight for.

As I stand looking at the desolate landscape, I am not ashamed of the two tears that slide down my face. Mother, Father, brothers, and sisters all gone and those high and mighty Consortium executives never let us know. They let us come back and find our world in ruin and our people gone.

Were they killed or taken? There was no way to know. The thing I did know was that slavery was rampant in the Sargus Empire. They bought and sold sentient beings as if they were meat animals. Their whole economy depended on slave labor, where the Consortium relied on robots and artificial intelligence.  They relied on the warriors of Farseek Brigade and other like us for defense.

Had we been here when those Sargans attacked, we could have protected them with our elite ground force and our star fighters. From the carnage in front of me, I surmise that many of our people were killed---maybe most of them. I can only guess that the Sargans would have taken the rest as slaves to any of hundreds of different worlds.

Someone somewhere knows something, and I will find them.

The com in my ear buzzed. I touched my ear to hear Lieutenant Pyrr Avantu’s voice. “Commander, I’m getting reports of children being found living in the wreckage.  So far about a dozen.”

“Do any of them know what happened to the others?”

“Those not killed were herded into shuttles and taken away,” said Lt. Avantu. “So some of our people were taken alive after the attack, but the children don’t know more than that.”

“Did anyone find any adults?”

“A few elders,” Avantu replied.

“They should come with us when we leave. I doubt they would survive the winter here alone,” I told him.  “I’ll clear it with Admiral Degatu. At least we know they were not all killed. Finding them is not going to be easy.  I think our best bet is to go after the slave trader’s in Sargus Territory. I will speak to the admiral and get back to you.”

“Yes, sir,” Avantu said.  “We will keep looking for survivors.”

My heart was not as heavy after I talked to Avantu. I let myself entertain a small hope that some of my clan might have survived. I’m sure others in our division felt as I did after they saw the destruction of our world. From that day forward, I would no longer honor my pledge of service to the Consortium.  My only allegiance would be given to the Farseek Brigades, and to the Uatu people.

I didn’t have to wait long for Admiral Degatu to descend to the ground of our world. In our defense force, there are two lines of command. I am Commander General of the ground forces, and Admiral Degatu commands our Starship fleet. Our combined forces make up the Farseek Division of the Sovereign Transtellar Consortium Defense Force. Our division is known for its prowess on the ground and in space. That’s why they sent us to the front.

They had to know our home world was completely vulnerable, but they were more worried about themselves than the families of the warriors defending them. They deliberately blocked our communications about the attacks on Farseek so we wouldn’t desert them. And it would have been our right, per our contract. Farseek came first.

We weren’t the only force defending the heart of the Consortium against the Sargus attack. Some of our ships could have gone to aid Farseek. To me, that nullifies any obligation we have to the Consortium. They are nothing but a bunch of wealthy tycoons and politicians who maintain and run the Consortium for their own gain. To them, we are just an expendable subclass of inferior beings whose clans are unimportant to them.

Since we were so insignificant that they left our home world defenseless. I saw no reason to continue to defend them. Now I just had to convince Degatu.

Admiral Degatu arrived about an hour later just outside of our village. He had seen the imagery of the devastation in the holovids, but it just didn’t quite capture the horrific scope of the destruction.

Degatu was a native Farseekian of the Uato people as I am. Our race comes in a variety of skin tones from light to dark blue-gray, reddish brown to pale beige to almost white. I am a light blue-gray, and Degatu is medium reddish brown. We do not favor any color over another as the colors are only skin deep. Most of the males of our race are tall and well muscled and of varying body thickness. Warrior training keeps us fit unlike the echelon of the Consortium. Females may not be as tall and muscular, but those who are unmated train as warriors as well. Most can hold their own in battle where we all wear special protective body suits.

While the females may not be quite as strong on their own, the body armor augmentations are equalizing their strength.  It is also good for morale to have females among us. Our customs allow for sharing sex with unmated females as long as we do not give them our seed.  That is only for one’s fated mate; it’s how we claim them.

I already know my fated mate is not in our division. My hope of finding her now is fading with all our people dead or taken. That could be part of why I feel so angered by this all. But I am also angered for all of my comrades who fought so bravely and came home as I did to find all of my clan is gone.

“They did this Garvan! They kept the news of the attacks from us when they knew we had the right to come defend our people,” I murmured in a grim, quiet tone. “So far they’re about a dozen survivors, who say the Sargans rounded up the survivors and took them away.”

“And you want to go after them,” he stated.

“Don’t you?”

“I do. There is hardly a man or woman in our division who hasn’t lost someone in this attack. We have to be smart about this,” he said. “We can’t go into Empire territory as Defenders of the Consortium. Once we nullify our contract with them, we are on our own. They won’t finance us for it.”

“Even if we pool our resources, it might not be enough to get the job done,” I said, as I followed his train of thought. “We will need backers.”

“Exactly my thought, so I took the liberty of letting certain governors of the Consortium know what we must do. I was told that Governor Evzen Guryon’s daughter Kyanna was taken by Ursagans from the Sargan Empire with a group of women from  Plotain  Pleasure station. The word is they are taking them to Ursaga slave auctions.”

“You think Guryon will back us?” I started to see a plan forming.

“He will. He may be a pompous dick, but he loves his daughter, and he will pay whatever it takes to get her back,” Pyrr said.

“We could find some of our own people there, too.” I nodded. “I guess that means we’re now the Farseek Mercenary Division.”

Garvan nodded grimly. It also meant we were on our own.

Titan, similar to Earth but not.

There is much about Titan we do not know.

Such as: How can Titan be older than Saturn?
It is possible that Titan did not begin its life in our galaxy. Instead, it might have been snagged as it passed through.

Liza adds:  Or, perhaps it was purposely sent so the workers on the ship Pan could have a pleasant place to visit on their time off.
or
Perhaps a superior alien planet sent Jupiter and Titan here when they discovered valuable, hard to find materials in Saturn's outer ring.

Seriously, Pan  does looks far more like an 18 mile long ship mining the rings than a planet. The symetrical indented markings on its top dome are a dead give away.

As crazy as it being a spaceship mining Saturn's ring might be, it's more sensible than declaring it is a planet that accidentally made identical indentations on the oval top and smooth, slender, pentagonal fins around the oval 'rock'. The chances of that happening has to be close to zero.

Also, why does Saturn have such a massive electromagnetic shield that protects Titan and the other moons from radiation poison? And how is this electromagnetic shield maintained?  (It's huge! Like 600 times more powerful than Earth's shield.) Yet currently we can't explain the matter.

But let's stay focused on Titan.

It has a huge atmosphere. Now that's partly because gravity is only 14% of earth's, so it doesn't pull at the little particles in the sky as hard as earth does. But this atmosphere is huge compare to Earth's.

Liza's thoughts: perhaps the reason is more subtle. Perhaps there is already life on Titan and it really doesn't want company. so organic substances are intentionally injected in the atmosphere to hide their world at the two poles.

Here's a strange thing: It appears one of the layers of inner Titan is made of water and ammonia (that's what we call Anti-freeze).
Scientists think that because the 'land' appears to move over time.  They even suspect Cyrovolcanic activity that spews out water and ammonia, which they call dirty water (don't drink it!)
And be warned. If you touched the lava, your hand would freeze rather than burn.

Some scientists believe, but have yet to prove that the inside of Titan is liquid and 'warm'.

I suspect 'warm' might mean a temp of -150F rather than the surface temp of -183F.

The reason they believe there is a liquid layer under the shell:
Titan changes shape as it orbits Saturn.
Cassini was able to measure Titan's tidal bulge and determined it rises and falls on the order of 30 feet. If Titan were completely solid inside, the tides could not be that large.

If the liquid causing the 30 ft bulge is actually ammonia and water (Anti-freeze) then we still need another generator of heat, since Ammonia will freeze at -148F and the surface temp is -183. The tidal pull itself creates some heat, but the scientists insist it's not enough to account for 30-foot change.

There is also the possibility that the surface of Titan, is floating on an Anti-freeze layer.

Another oddity:  The vortexes on each pole appear to be hurricane winds, yet the water beneath is very calm, causing some scientist to conclude the winds are soft at ground level, given their analysis indicated the waves were only a centimeter tall.

I find that to be a ridiculous conclusion. I believe that most of the lakes are frozen or have a rubbery like covering. For I fail to see how both poles could have hurricane force upper winds, and on the surface there is basically no wind.

Liza notes: In my story I'm having the winds at ground level to be much lower, but there are winds and they do worry about them.

And here's a mystery: Methane should have disappeared long ago, but it's still there. So something on the planet is creating methane. Perhaps volcanoes, or biological substances (that could include farting and dying life forms).

And the next oddity: While Titan appears older than Saturn, it's surface appears to be very young, which means it might still have volcanic activity. If so, the scientists are still predicting it would spew Anti-freeze.

A last oddity: The Dunes in the center of the planet appear to be backwards to the winds (compared to how dunes on earth are shaped). They suspect Titan dunes are not fully shaped by winds, but electrostatic charges shapes the dunes on Titan. It is possible the dunes are highly electrical and might be lethal to walk on.

Below is someone far more scientific, but even he leaves out a few things

Liza is an imaginative author, don't complain about her conclusions.

Beautiful, Strange, Jupiter

Beautiful, strange, Jupiter

In my story, the planet is actually a sophisticated eye in the sky allowing visual contact with the ships mining Saturn's rings. And the red spot is a giant incinerator to get rid of unwanted items.

I know you think I've gone off the deep end.
Well, I'm allowed to. I write FICTION!

Have you seen the penetrating images of the South Pole?

There appears to be various alien faces magnified in in the South pole. I'm not saying there are giant creatures IN Jupiter. I'm saying that perhaps Jupiter is an electronic device, rather than an actual planet. An 'eye in the sky' if you will.
Supporting that, there are new findings that indicate Jupiter may not have any core at all.
What if it is just a powerful source of chemicals that can capture and send clear messages back to a home planet in a different Galaxy.

In my story, Perv watches over Saturn's solar system.
Yes, that would also be Earth's solar system, it's all in the perspective of the sentient's mind set. Perv actually resides in a far away galaxy, but just like we can skype, Perv can communicate with those on Saturn's moon and rings via a very large satellite, which we call Jupiter.  In fact, you can actually see Perv in Jupiter's south pole below.
If you asked me to describe Perv, he looks like a big eyed, red faced, stubby-nosed lizard with huge fangs. But otherwise, he behaves like most other male sentients.
In his case, he likes to see through female sentients' clothes and admire their naked form.
Thus, his name: Perv.

I swear, I did not alter the pic below. Go to Nasa.gov if you don't believe me.
Why is it that we don't see Perv when we admire the planet Jupiter? Simple. The beautiful mosaic of Van Gogh creations are only there to sooth the various sentients.
But behind the paintings, on the South Pole,
Perv is watching...always watching!

Here's a video, with just the facts, rather than my what ifs.  And don't scold me for my what ifs. I write science fiction, not facts, which is a good thing since we are still a bit shaky on facts.

Babies in space

Here are the facts:

Studies indicate fertilization could occur in deep space, however, further development of the embryo would not progress in zero and low gravity situations. Instead, the body would reabsorb the cells, resulting in no child.

Titan's gravity is only 14% of Earths, thus without an artificial pull, the re-population of humans would fail.

Here is my solution:

The females going to Titan remained on birth control until they Quantum leap into deep space. (The negative effects of Quantum Leaping requires no female to be pregnant until after they arrive on Titan).

The two days they spent on the ship as they ascended to Titan's North Pole, they traveled in an artificial gravity that was 80% of Earth's gravity. This was done to improve the chances of fertilization.

Once they landed, the ship's electromagnetics continue to run an 80% gravity pull.

However, the humans spend much of their time outside, where gravity is only 14% of earth's. Thus, they wear magnetic boots that produces a field large enough to gently tug them to their boots. The actual pull is calibrated for each human. The female's boots are weighted minimally to 80% if they are potentially pregnant. Otherwise, they may drop the pull to 50% to reduce potential damage due to the electromagnetic force.

Since fertilization was determined not to be constrained by the existence of, nor the lack of gravity, the men are allowed to choose whatever level of gravity that suits them.

However, the male teenagers were forbidden to change the gravity level selected, until the soldiers had further assessed the dangers of Titan. Colonel Lancaster did not want the boys lowering their gravity pull so they could 'fly', possibly resulting in a wind gust blowing them into the methane lake.

So naturally, the first thing one of the youngest teens does is break the rules.

Early Excerpt for Arrival: Titan

Tamara opened her site finder and frowned as she realized Benjamin wasn’t registering on any of the teams. “Ben, where exactly are you? You were supposed to stay with your team.”

After a long silence, Ben responded. “You should be happy with me. I found life on Titan.”

Lt. Yarrows snapped, “Give me your coordinates, now!”

Dead silence replied.

“Benjamin,” Tamara said softly. “Please give me your coordinates. I need to send a guard to protect you at once.”

Benjamin ignored her. Lt. Yarrows would take him back to the ship, taser him, then lock him up. But he was sick of being treated like an idiot. Hell, he had discovered life on Titan. He should get a medal, not tasered.

He turned to take a picture of the moth, but to his shock, it lifted from the surface and flew towards a rock ledge to his right. Without the moth, he’d be doubly tasered, so he turned down the gravity pull on his boots so he could keep up with the moth.

He noticed a dark opening in the black rocks. Naturally, the moth would choose to go inside. He slowed and quietly entered the dark cave. The only sounds he could make out were from the wind outside, and a piercing high electronic sound somewhere deeper in the cave.

Thankfully, he had turned off his transmitter the first time Yarrows yelled at him. This would give him more time to retrieve his moth before the storm troopers could find him.

As he slowly moved toward the mechanical hum, his infrared light illuminated not just the moth, but a man with blue skin. The fellow turned from the moth and faced him. Ben realized his eyes moved separately, which was a bit creepy, and his nose was very wide. When he spoke, his words made no sense.

Not surprising, given he’d just met what had to be a native Titanian. Great, now he had discovered intelligent life on Titan and absolutely no one was ever going to believe it. There was no way he could capture this fellow and take him back to the ship. This Titanian fellow had really long arms and legs. He suspected he’d be eight feet tall if he stood up from the rock he sat upon.

Hope you enjoyed the peek.

The series will be coming out in early 2018
